1. Information We Collect

• Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and the property address or area you give us
• Project details: the service you ask about, details about the property, and anything you write in the contact form or the chat
• Correspondence: emails and chat messages with us, and details you give us by phone
• Website usage: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and how you reached the site, recorded by our hosting and analytics providers. A request sent through the contact form also records the page you first arrived on, the page on this site you viewed before the one with the form, the domain of the website that linked you here, and any campaign tags in the link you followed, but not ad-click identifiers.
• Project and billing records: if you become a client, quotes, scope, invoices, and payment records

• To schedule and carry out work, and keep the records that go with it
• To send project updates and answer questions about systems we installed
• To understand how the website is used and whether our ads lead to calls and inquiries
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations

3. Who We Share It With

We don't sell your personal information. These service providers handle it on our behalf:

• Vercel hosts this website and keeps its server logs, which include a shortened copy of each chat exchange. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights measure page views and page performance.
• Resend delivers the emails our forms and chat send: the notice to us, and a confirmation to you where one is sent.
• Upstash stores a record of each request sent through the contact form, and of the contact details you leave in the chat, so a request isn't lost if an email fails. The record holds your email address and phone number, the service you asked about, and the page you were on; for a contact-form request, it also holds the visit details described in section 1 and any budget range you chose; for the chat, it also holds the answers you gave the assistant and a score the chat works out from how you used it (for example, whether you asked about price). Messages sent through the chat's backup form are emailed to us and not stored there.
• Google provides Google Analytics, which measures website traffic; Google Ads, which measures whether ads lead to calls and inquiries; and the Gemini model that writes the chat assistant's replies. The messages you type to the assistant, together with the recent conversation, are sent to Google to generate each reply.
• Jobber is where we keep client project records and send quotes and invoices, and it processes card and ACH payments.
• Our business email provider stores the email we send and receive.

We may also disclose information when the law, a court order, or a government request requires it, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

• Google Analytics and Google Ads set cookies to count visits and to connect ad clicks with calls and inquiries. Their tags load on every page, from your first visit.
• Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights don't use cookies.
• The site keeps a few small items in your browser's own storage, such as whether you closed the contact bar and chat-widget activity. They stay on your device, except the visit details described in section 1, which go with a contact-form request.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Google also offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics.

5. How Long We Keep It

We keep inquiries, correspondence, and project records for as long as we need them for the purposes above, including answering questions about work we've done and meeting tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Server logs and analytics data are kept for the periods our hosting and analytics providers set.

6. Your Choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it. You can also ask us to stop sending you marketing emails. If we need to keep something for a legal, tax, or accounting reason, we'll tell you.

Some state privacy laws, including Virginia's Consumer Data Protection Act, give residents additional rights when a business meets the law's thresholds. The choices above are open to everyone, whether or not such a law applies.

7. Security

This website is served over HTTPS, so what you send through the form or the chat is encrypted in transit, and it is then handled by the service providers listed above. No website or email system is completely secure, so please don't send passwords, account numbers, or payment card details through the form or the chat.

8. Links to Other Websites

Our website links to other websites, such as Google Maps and equipment makers. Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies before giving them personal information.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us.
